29th Annual Boulder Rotary Radiowest Auction
This year’s Boulder Rotary Radiowest Auction will have a difference.
Goldfielders will not be limited to buying the hundreds of items only on Sunday, but will have access to buy over a whole week. The Auction is available online and the public will be able to bid for items (advertised in the special lift-out in the Kalgoorlie Miner on Friday 15th August) from 8am on 15th August until 4pm on Sunday 24th August.
You can log onto the website www.radioauction.net.au any time prior to the Auction opening and register – simply by entering your name, e-mail, phone number, and a password.
This is the 29th Annual Boulder Rotary Radiowest Auction and thanks to the great support from businesses and locals in the region, the club has raised nearly $1.8 million for local beneficiaries. Over 28 years the club has auctioned off over 18,000 items generously donated by Goldfields businesses and helped over 150 local groups, including Tinetti Lodge, YMCA, SES, Lifeline, Kalgoorlie Hospital, St Johns Ambulance, Boulder Park, Christmas in the Park, aged care, respite house, playgroups, Scouts and Guides, plus setting up the very successful PMH Goldfields Family Assistance Trust Fund. For a full list of this year’s beneficiaries please visit the club’s website www.boulderrotary.com.au or www.radioauction.net.au.
The first Auction in 1986 raised $11,047.31 with 200 items auctioned. In 2013 the club members raised $90,456.00 selling 600 items. The largest amount raised was in 2007 – raising $154,845.00 with over 700 items.
The club will still hold its famous Murphy Boyden Cocktail party and Mini Auction on Friday 15th August to launch the Auction. If you would like tickets for the night please contact Craig Hicks at Golden City Motors on 0407 351 619 or Jim Fleming at Lakes Electrical 0418 949 179.
Many regular sponsors are on board already and Goldfields businesses should expect contact to ask for donations.
If you are able to help please ring Jim or Craig or any Boulder Rotarian so we can help more local beneficiaries.
