Tuesday’s meeting was well attended by Rotarians and partners in the presence of DG Melodie Kevan and partner PDG John. DG Elect Linda McLerie and partner Greg with ADG Geraldine Ennis also attended. DG Melodie’s announcement of our being awarded a district grant of $1000.00 was a surprise and was well received. Well done Jim!
A cheque to Polio Plus to the value of $500.00 was presented to DG Melodie for the ongoing eradication of Polio in the world.
During the week the board agreed to donate $1,000.00 to Global Grants Participation. PDG John has accepted this donation on the funds behalf. This money will go towards pathology laboratory equipment and training in Sri Lanka.
